A individual indicted with stalking Kate McCann apparently deposited her a recorded message which questioned: "suppose I am Madeleine?"
Julia Wandelt, twenty-four, who witnesses stated has repeatedly asserted she was the missing Madeleine McCann, and her co-defendant are on trial charged with harassing Kate and Gerry McCann between June 2022 and February this year.
On Monday, the court learned communication data and data recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt repeatedly requesting Madeleine's mother for a biological test over the past two years.
Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - when she was three years old during a trip in Portugal - is one of the most widely reported missing child cases and continues to be unsolved.
A separate phone message, presented in court, recorded Ms Wandelt stating: "I know I'm heavy and plain like Madeleine was, but I believe what I know."
While a separate message of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "Imagine there is a tiny probability that I'm her? What then? Wouldn't that be important for you?"
"I do not need money, I maintain a existence here in Poland, I simply desire to discover," the message continued.
The panel was advised that by means of emails, SMS messages and communications, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, forwarded youth pictures to her phone in a bid to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and claimed to have "recollections" from a early life with the McCanns.
Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with the police force who collated the information, informed the court there "showed no any replies" from Mrs McCann.
Ms Wandelt furthermore contacted acquaintances of the McCanns, as per the communication logs.
On that date, the father responded to a call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."
That day Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone stating "I will continue and I plan to establish my position."
The court learned Mrs Spragg struck up a connection through digital means with Ms Wandelt preceding joining her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in Leicestershire in December 2024.
Phone records showed Mrs Spragg had reached out through communication app to Mrs McCann to say the press had characterized Ms Wandelt as "mentally unstable" but that she ought to be considered genuine in the months preceding the appearance to Rothley, Leicestershire, in that winter.
The court heard communications between the two defendants, in November 2024, discussing trying to obtain Mrs McCann's genetic material from her bins or from cutlery at a eating establishment.
"We have to make a stand," Mrs Spragg informed Ms Wandelt.
On the occasion of the appearance to their home, the defendant sent a communication which expressed: "We find ourselves positioned outside the McCanns' house with our lights out resembling detectives. I had hoped to achieve this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be involved in this with the McCanns."
The trial proceeds.
