Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window

An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.

"The aircraft landed in accordance with standard procedures and all passengers, among them Defense Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a social media post.

He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.

This incident does not mark the first time that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.

In a previous incident this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington after experiencing a mechanical problem.
